I have not yet graduated from school. May I take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE)?

Are you a CPhT candidate who is within 60 days of completing a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program (REP)? If so, you may be eligible to take the PTCE. Please note: PTCB requires proof of PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program to be provided before PTCB Certification will be granted.

To earn your CPhT Certification:

  1. Confirm that the program you completed is a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program.
  2. When submitting your application for certification, you must include a program completion date. If you indicate a future program completion date on your application, you will receive an email from PTCB detailing the documentation you need to submit.
  3. When you pass the exam, PTCB Certification will only be granted after we receive proof of your program completion. You must provide your proof of program completion within 60 days of your exam date. Learn more about acceptable documentation.

If you have any questions about PTCB’s eligibility requirements or the certification process, please submit a request.
