Can I withdraw my CSPT Certification application?

You may withdraw your CSPT® application if you:

  • Are within your 90-day authorization window, and
  • Have not yet scheduled your exam.

Log into your PTCB Account and use the Withdraw Application link to withdraw your application. Learn more about the costs associated with withdrawing your CSPT application. 

Already scheduled your exam? You must first cancel your appointment with Pearson VUE, and then withdraw your application through your PTCB Account. To cancel, log into your PTCB Account, scroll to Earn Credentials and click My Scheduled Exam You can also call Pearson VUE at 866-902-0593 (7am - 7pm CT, Monday - Friday).

Need more time? Don’t withdraw your application; extend your authorization to schedule. Extensions are available for $20 and extend the authorization-to-schedule period by 90 days (up to two extensions). Extensions must be purchased before the end of each 90-day authorization period.

Click Extend Exam Authorization on your PTCB Account homepage.

If you do not purchase an extension or withdraw your application before your 90-day authorization period expires, you will forfeit all fees.
