What is involved in the work experience requirement? How long do technicians need to work and where? Does work as a trainee count?

The work experience pathway allows technicians to demonstrate that they possess the same knowledge that is expected of a graduate of a recognized program. CPhT applicants who select this pathway are required to have at least 500 work experience hours. Traineeships, internships, and experiential hours are acceptable. CPhT candidates attest to learning the topics covered in the PTCE Content Outline.
