We know life can bring unexpected circumstances, but PTCB does not offer extensions to application deadlines. We do, however, offer approximately 2 months to submit your application.
You can start the renewal process 60 days before your certification expiration date. Make sure to earn the required Continuing Education hours within your recertification cycle.
PTCB ensures Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhTs) stay current in pharmacy knowledge as the pharmacy field demands an understanding of those changes.
If your certification expired more than one (1) year ago, to become a PTCB CPhT again, you must apply for certification and take and pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE), due to the time that has passed since your certification expiration date.
