If you cannot take the exam within your 90-day authorization window, you may purchase an exam authorization extension.
Extensions are available for all PTCB exams, cost $20, and extend the authorization to schedule by 90 days. There is a limit of two 90-day extensions per exam.
To purchase an extension, click the “Extend Exam Authorization” link on your PTCB Account homepage. If you have a scheduled exam appointment, you must first cancel the appointment before the “Extend Exam Authorization” link will show in your PTCB Account.
