Refundable Fees
PTCB will refund your Application and/or Exam Fee in the original form of payment minus a $50 administrative fee when:
- You withdraw your CPhT or CSPT application through your PTCB Account within your exam authorization period.
- Your application was denied for failure to meet eligibility requirements.

Refund Processing
Refunds are issued in the original form of payment. Once processed by PTCB, refunded fees by credit card are typically available within 3-5 business days.
If your card is lost or stolen, please contact your financial institution immediately to report it. Typically, your bank will block your old card and issue a new one. Your account will remain active, allowing you to continue using it for transactions, including to receive refunds.
