I want information on how to be a sponsor. Where is the advocate application?

Thank you for your interest in direct billing. Our advocate program has gone away and we have incorporated PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Programs as described below. You will still receive the benefits of the former program and be able to pay the exam fee for your students or employees.

Your program is invited to apply to become a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program for the PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Program.

Why apply?

PTCB now requires CPhT applicants to complete a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program for the CPhT Program OR equivalent work experience. Becoming a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program will ensure your technician students are eligible to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) after they complete your program.

If you are not PTCB-recognized, your students will not be eligible to test unless they have 500 hours of equivalent work experience.There is no cost to become a PTCB-recognized program.

What is required to become PTCB-recognized?

To receive PTCB recognition, you must submit the attestation survey to show that your program’s curriculum includes specific knowledge. This knowledge is identified in PTCB’s 2020 PTCB CPhT Knowledge Reference document.
