How do I apply and schedule an exam for the PTCB Assessment-Based Certificates?

PTCB offers 11 Assessment-Based Certificate Programs. The certificates include:

• Billing and Reimbursement
• Controlled Substances Diversion
• Hazardous Drug Management
• Immunization Administration
• Medication History
• Medication Therapy Management
• Nonsterile Compounding
• Point-Of-Care Testing
• Regulatory Compliance
• Supply Chain & Inventory Management
• Technician Product Verification

To apply or view the eligibility requirements for an Assessment-Based Certificate:

1. Log In
   • Log into your PTCB Account.
2. Navigate
   • Scroll down to “Earn Credentials,” then find the certificate you’re interested in and click View Requirements.
3. Apply
   • Click Apply.

4. Get Approved. 
   • You will receive an email with a 90-day authorization to schedule the exam, along with instructions on how to take it.

To schedule an Assessment-Based Certificate Exam: 

1. Log In
   • Log into your PTCB Account.
2. Navigate
   •  Scroll down to “Earn Credentials.”
3. Schedule
   • Click Schedule Exam under the relevant Assessment-Based Certificate to schedule your exam.

The Assessment-Based Certificate Program Exams are available at Pearson VUE test centers nationwide and online via live remote proctoring.
