How-to: Enter Work Experience from an Unlisted Employer When Applying for CPhT Certification

If you are applying for CPhT certification and have completed work experience from an employer that is not listed, please these follow the instructions:

  1. Log In
    • Log into your PTCB Account. Enter your login information. Click Login
  2. Navigate
    • Scroll to Earn Your CPhT Certification
  3. Begin Application
  • Click the Apply Now.
  • Review Candidate Agreement: Review and agree to the Candidate Agreement. Then click Continue.
  • Select Pathway: Select Pathway 2 and click Continue.

  1. Add Work Experience
    •  Click Add Work Experience.
  2. Enter Employer Name 
    • Enter the complete name of your employer (company/organization) and wait a few seconds.
    • Do NOT hit the Enter/Return key. 
    • DO NOT enter “Other” as the employer name.

If Employer is Not Listed:

  • Confirm the employer isn’t listed in the drop-down menu before selecting Other. ​       ​
  • Select Other ONLY if the employer is NOT listed in the drop-down menu:Screen_Shot_2020-01-27_at_10.55.36_AM.png
  1. Entering Work Experience
    • After selecting Other from the drop-down menu, enter the name of your employer in the Other Employer Name text box. Then, enter your work experience information.

  1. Click Save:​​

  1. Additional Work Experiences 
    • Repeat steps 4 to 7 if additional work experiences need to be entered. 
  2. Finalize Work Experience Entry
    • After all work experiences have been added, click Continue.

You should then be able to continue to complete and submit your CPhT application. If you continue to experience difficulties, submit a help request.
