Before You Apply for CPhT Recertification:
Step 1: Verify Recertification Cycle Dates.
- Ensure you know the dates of your recertification cycle. Continuing Education (CE) earned must be completed within the recertification cycle date range.
Step 2: Verify CE Requirements.

Identify your certification and application type (e.g., Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Recertification, or Reinstatement).
Example for CPhT Recertification Application (Active Status):-

Complete 20 CE hours in total, including:
- 1 hour in pharmacy law.
- 1 hour in patient safety.
- At least 15 technician-specific CE hours (UAN designation 'T') must be earned
- Up to 5 pharmacist-specific CE hours (UAN designation 'P') are allowed.

Example for CPhT Reinstatement Application (Expired Status):

- Complete 20 CE hours in total during the recertification cycle or reinstatement eligibility window (up to one year after the certification expiration date). These CE hours must include:
- 2 hours in pharmacy law.
- 1 hour in patient safety.

Step 3: Verify CEs in CPE Monitor
- Log into your NABP e-Profile.
- Select CPE Monitor.
- Adjust the dates to match your recertification cycle dates.
- Confirm all required CE hours are being reported to your e-Profile.
Step 4: Handling Missing CE Hours

If any CE hours are not reporting to your CPE Monitor:
- Check with your CE provider for options to download a transcript, exam history, or certificates of completion.
- Upload proof of completion during the application process for missing CEs..
Important:
- ACPE-accredited providers have up to 60 days to report your CEs to CPE Monitor.
- Ensure your e-Profile ID and date of birth were provided at the time you registered for the course.
