What are some examples of CE activities that PTCB will NOT accept?

Your application will be returned for non-compliance with CE requirements if PTCB finds any of the following:

Recertification applications:

For applications submitted on or after September 1, 2020: Pharmacist CE activities exceeding 5 of the 20 hours, including those from ACPE-accredited providers with a pharmacist (‘P’) target audience designation.

CPhT recertification candidates with returned applications: If you cannot provide documentation showing all CE requirements for recertification were met within your recertification cycle, you will need to apply for reinstatement within one year of your certification expiration date

CPhT reinstatement candidates with returned applications: If your application has been returned, you must provide documentation of the required CE activities completed during your previous recertification cycle and up until your reinstatement application date. Your application resubmission is due within 30 days of your reinstatement application return.

If you cannot provide documentation of the required CE activities completed during your previous certification cycle and up until their reinstatement application date, then you have not met the required CEs you attested to completing when applying and you are not eligible to re-submit your application. To continue, you will need to submit a new application for CPhT reinstatement by your reinstatement deadline (one year following certification expiration date).

If you are past your reinstatement deadline, then you must apply for CPhT Certification and retake and pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
