I’m under the age of 18. Are there any special requirements?

PTCB does not have an age requirement in order to be eligible to apply for credentials or to take exams. However, you are encouraged to check with your state Board of Pharmacy for eligibility requirements to work in a pharmacy, as well as the provider of any pharmacy technician education/training program requirements.

Minors who are under the age of 18 are required to present a PTCB-approved form of identification when testing at a test center or online. Minors who are under the age of 18 are permitted to present a valid student ID as a form of identification. A minor’s guardian must also present a valid ID and provide verbal consent during the online check-in process for the candidate to be recorded. If you have any other questions about testing policies for minors, please contact Pearson VUE.
