I am located outside of the United States. May I test?

PTCB credentials are designed for use exclusively in the United States of America and its territories (US), which means PTCB exams are generally only administered in the US. Active members of the US military and their spouses are eligible to test anywhere in the world. PTCB exams are offered at US-based Pearson VUE test centers and via online remote proctor. Other applicants outside of the US are only eligible to take a PTCB exam if they provide adequate documentation that shows they meet one of the following conditions:

  • Are an active PTCB CPhT in good standing;
  • Are employed by a healthcare institution headquartered in the US;
  • The CPhT credential is required or officially recognized by the government regulator for pharmacy practice in the jurisdiction; or
  • Have the ability (i.e., legal and fiscal) to relocate to the US to work and have imminent plans to do so.
