For Educators/Employers: My PTCB-Recognized CPhT Education/Training Program (REP) was selected for audit. What do I need to do?

Each year, PTCB audits a selection of REPs to verify that the information in the Recognized Education /Training Program Attestation is accurate.

What You Need to Do: Program directors must provide the requested information in the REP Audit Submission Form within 30 days of receiving notification, through their PTCB Account.

Items Required for Submission

  • Organizational chart: The organizational chart should represent the structure of the pharmacy technician training program
  • Legal status of the organization: This status often determines aspects like liability, tax responsibilities, and regulatory compliance
  • Number of years the organization has been in business and delivering pharmacy technician education/training program
  • Resume/CV of program instructors/educators detailing their credentials
  • Program completion requirements
  • Completed CPhT Curriculum Map: This form must be fully completed and signed prior to submission

How to Submit: When a program director is ready to submit the required documentation, they should log into their PTCB Account and complete the REP Audit Submission Form. Since this process can take time, we recommend preparing all documentation in advance.

Please note that your PTCB Account may time out after a period of inactivity. Ensure you are logged into your account and ready to submit your forms when starting the process.

Results Availability: PTCB will notify program directors of the audit results via email within 4 weeks of submission. If additional information is needed, PTCB will reach out via email.

Important: Failure to submit the requested documentation, or meet audit requirements will result in the suspension or revocation of program recognition. If a program is found noncompliant and adverse action is taken, participants and prospective participants from that program will not be eligible to take the PTCE under Pathway 1: Completion of a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program.
