The Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician® (CSPT®) Program is an advanced certification program introduced by PTCB in December 2017.
Those who take and pass the CSPT Exam are Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technicians (CSPTs) and have demonstrated knowledge and skill in the specialty area of compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) as well as their commitment to the role they play in ensuring medication safety. Employers who encourage their technicians to become CSPTs are committed to ensuring their technicians are especially dedicated to high-quality care and patient safety.
