The preliminary results you see at the end of your exam (Pass/Fail) are not the final results. PTCB maintains stringent verification procedures for each exam taken. While preliminary scores are typically an indication of your performance, they are not official.
Am I certified?
You are considered certified once your exam results are official, and you have passed the exam. If you passed, your certification will become active. You can view your score report in your PTCB Account’s Exam History. At that time, your certification status will also be verifiable through PTCB’s Verify page. Additionally, you can download your certificate from your PTCB Account, and you will receive an email with instructions to claim your digital badge.
When are the official score reports available?
Official score reports are typically available within 3 weeks of your exam date. We understand waiting for your results can be challenging, but this processing time ensures accuracy and fairness. During this time, PTCB conducts thorough quality checks, including statistical analysis and a review of candidate comments, which are vital for addressing exam content concerns.
PTCB cannot expedite the processing of exam results or certification information. Please note that you are not eligible to reapply for CPhT Certification until your official score results are available. Learn more.
Didn't receive a preliminary score report at the end of the exam?
Preliminary score reports are only available right after your exam, and cannot be given at any other time. Some test centers may print the preliminary score report, but this is not guaranteed.
