The three most common reasons for an application in a pending status, and not yet approved, are: testing accommodations requests, eligibility determination, and sponsorship.
Testing Accommodations
Did you select that you require testing accommodations? Your application will remain pending until documentation is submitted and reviewed by PTCB.
It takes up to 15 business days to review and process testing accommodations requests after we receive documentation. Once approved, two email notifications will be sent to you. One will list your approved accommodations. The other email will confirm your 90-day authorization to schedule and take the exam.
If you selected that you require testing accommodations by mistake, please send us a help request to remove the selection.
Eligibility Determination
Did you select that you require your eligibility to be determined based on any criminal and state board of pharmacy registration or licensure disciplinary actions? Your application will remain pending until documentation is submitted and reviewed by PTCB.
Eligibility determinations take up to 4 weeks to review and process after we receive documentation. If it is determined you are eligible, you will be sent an email indicating your authorization to schedule your exam appointment. If it is determined you are not eligible, you will be mailed a decision letter to your listed mailing address.
If you selected that you require your eligibility to be determined by mistake, please send us a help request to remove the selection.
Sponsorship
If your educational institution or employer is paying your application fees, they may use a sponsorship method that requires approval after you submit your application. Please be patient while your sponsor reviews your request.
Any questions about the approval status of your application fees should be directed to your sponsor.
