To earn the Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician™ (CPhT-Adv™) Certification, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Active Certification: Hold an active PTCB CPhT in good standing.
- Work Experience: Have at least three (3) years of pharmacy technician work experience within the past eight (8) years.

Certificate Requirements: Earn either:
- Four PTCB Assessment-Based Certificates, or
- Three Certificate Programs plus the Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician® (CSPT®) Certification.
PTCB Assessment-Based Certificates include:
- Billing and Reimbursement Certificate
- Controlled Substances Diversion Prevention Certificate
- Hazardous Drug Management Certificate
- Immunization Administration Certificate
- Medication History Certificate
- Medication Therapy Management Certificate
- Nonsterile Compounding Certificate
- Point-of-Care Testing Certificate
- Regulatory Compliance
- Supply Chain and Inventory Management
- Technician Product Verification Certificate
Note: Extensive work history alone does not qualify you for a CPhT-Adv Certification; all eligibility criteria must be met.

- No Additional Exam: There is no CPhT-Adv™ Exam. Once you meet the above requirements, you can claim the certification through your PTCB Account by following the provided instructions.
- Exam Requirements for Certificates: Each PTCB Assessment-Based Certificate, however, requires an exam to earn that specific certificate.
