To renew your CPhT Certification, follow these steps:
- Complete 20 hours of Continuing Education (CE)
Total CEs Required | 20 hours |
Technician-specific (T-specific) | Requires at least 15 hours |
Pharmacist-specific (P-specific) | Allows up to 5 hours (optional) |
Pharmacy Law (03 Topic Designator) | Requires 1* |
Patient Safety (05 Topic Designator) | Requires 1 |
*Two (2) pharmacy law CE hours are required when applying for reinstatement.

Verify CE Completion
Ensure all CE activities are completed within your recertification cycle by checking CPE Monitor. -
Log into Your PTCB Account
Access your PTCB Account to begin the renewal process. -
Apply for Recertification
Click Renew.- You can renew beginning 60 days before your certification expiration date.
- The application deadline is 30 days before your certification expiration date. Apply by this deadline to avoid a $25 late fee.

Pay the Recertification Fee.
Submit the required payment to complete your renewal.
